Boost rewards

Boosting means amplifying other creators' campaign posts. There are three actions: quotes, replies, and reposts. The Booster pool is separate from the Creator pool: no original post of your own required, and no limit on how many boosts you submit. This page covers what counts as a boost, how boosts are scored, and what doesn't count.

What counts as a boost#

A genuine quote or reply on another creator's campaign post, within the campaign window and on-topic, is discovered and credited automatically β€” you don't submit anything. Reposts count too: X publishes who reposted a post, so a repost can be credited to you. Every boost counts toward your score; unlike creator posts there's no best-of cap.

What counts

Any quote or reply that adds something of your own and stays in the campaign's world β€” AI and tools, software, creator growth, productivity, or the product itself. Replies have the lowest bar: a short on-topic comment, a question like "can it do X", a use-case, or a reaction all count. Mentioning a related tool or discussing a gray-area use case is fine. When a reviewer is unsure, the call leans toward approving. Reposts skip content review β€” there's no text to read and they bring no reach of your own, so they count, but they carry the least weight. Add a line of your own if you want that boost to be worth more.

What doesn't count

Empty quotes that add nothing of your own (a lone "nice", a single emoji, "learned a lot"); spam such as pure links, copy-paste templates, or emoji-only replies; content that wanders fully off-topic (food, sports, dating, celebrity gossip under an AI post); and anything that breaks platform policy (NSFW, illegal, or targeted harassment). These are removed before rewards are computed β€” a real boost rarely lands here, and one that adds your own take is worth more than ten that don't.

Short answer to "will X count?" β€” post the way you would for your own audience: focused, on-topic, written by you. That posture passes.

How boosts are scored#

Every eligible booster earns a guaranteed share of the Booster pool, plus a performance share. The pool grows as the campaign delivers.

One pool, two parts

Your reward combines a guaranteed share with a performance share. Both come from the campaign's Booster pool, so the total paid never outruns the amount the campaign has released.

Earlier actions carry more weight

Timing starts from the target post's publish time. Actions in the first 3 hours receive a Γ—2 multiplier; from 3 to under 12 hours, Γ—1.5; from 12 to under 48 hours, Γ—1; and from 48 hours onward, Γ—0.5. Your first eligible action sets the timing used for your guaranteed share, while each post keeps its own timing in performance scoring.

Guaranteed share by follower tier

Your follower tier and first-action timing determine your weight in the guaranteed part. The tier boundaries are inclusive, and everyone with an eligible action receives a share; the exact internal weights and pool split are not published.

Performance across four signals

The performance part uses the number of eligible boosts, the real engagement they generate, their views, and your audience size. Timing multiplies the first three signals on each post before they are added together; audience size is not time-multiplied. Reposts are credited in first-seen order up to the campaign cap.

Exceptions and holds#

In a few cases a boost doesn't earn, or its reward is held before paying out. The reason is always the same: keeping the Booster pool fair to everyone genuinely earning from it.

Your own posts aren't boosts

Replies inside your own thread, quotes of your own post, and replies to yourself don't count toward the Booster pool. That engagement already counts toward your creator post and keeps earning Creator rewards normally β€” only the Booster credit is filtered, so one post can't farm both pools.

Suspicious view or engagement patterns

If a boost's views or engagement look inorganic β€” bursts, mismatched ratios, view sources that don't match the post's reach β€” the reward is put on hold rather than auto-paid. Most of these clear on their own once the metrics settle; the rest get a human look.

Out-of-scope content

A boost that quotes a campaign post but pivots to unrelated content (or strips the campaign's link, keywords, or context) can drop out of scope. Treat boost posts the way you'd treat your own β€” written by you, on-topic, with the campaign clearly part of the post.

Boost rewards move through the same states as creator rewards β€” estimate, final, withdrawable β€” covered in How rewards work; track both on the Earnings page. Want your boosts to earn more? See Boosting well.
